Exhibition Women in the Polish Poster shows 40 works by prominent representatives of the Polish School of Posters from over 40,000 works of the largest Polish private poster collection by Krzysztof Dydo, an expert on this art form and gallery owner in Krakow will be seen. The vernissage will take place on March 1, 2019 at 3pm at the Museum of Art in Cluj-Napoca (Piaţa Unirii 30).
The authors of the works presented in Cluj-Napoca will include the precursors of the Polish School of Posters, such as Waldemar Świerzy, Jan Młodożeniec and Franciszek Starowieyski. You can also see the posters of the creators of the young generation, among which an important place is occupied by women, among others Kaja Renkas, Patrycja Longawa, Monika Starowicz and Marcelina Amelia.
The exhibition Women in the Polish poster can be viewed on February 27-March 17, 2019, from 10-17 (Mondays and Tuesdays closed) at the Museum of Art in Cluj-Napoca (Piaţa Unirii 30).
The exhibition is prepared in co-operation with Polish Institute in Bucharest.
