11.05-2.06.2019, Dydo Poster Gallery, Al. Focha 1 (former Hotel Cracovia), Kraków
Exhibition of posters by Monika Starowicz
11 May - 2 June 2019
Opening hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 2:30-6:30 pm
Opening: Saturday, 11 May 2019, 6 pm
The exhibition will present 50 works for international exhibitions, festivals, as well as problems affecting the modern world, such as environmental degradation. The connecting point of all the works is the emerging motif of a woman - a witch, a goddess, a mystical and a woman in love.
Monika Starowicz works in the poster studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, where she deals with graphics, drawing, illustration and design - mainly posters.
Miśka (short name of Monika) as she says herself, is constantly on the run, notoriously on the road, overloaded and loaded with thoughts, dreams and matters from yesterday, rushing, singing loudly in the great black car. She is going to show her posters in Kraków and the posters are very excited about the event, because they will play the leading role in the famous Krakow\'s gallery.
